The decision to join a group such as the Jaycees could be a very important one. Some of the criteria others have used to make the decision are the following:

- Desire to expand your circle of social and business relationships.
- Desire to develop leadership skills to help you make progress both personally and professionally.
- Desire to make a measurable difference in your community, state, and nation.

- Between the ages of 21 to 41
- Submit a complete Membership Application
- Pay quarterly dues of $30
- Attend a membership meeting to be sworn in
- Attend a new member orientation within your first three months of membership
